If you’re still in a dancing mood after that, Vinyl Entertainment is putting on a late-night party at 501 Studios for the release of the Diagonals’ EP. The Ugly Beats are also playing, and with free beer and a party-til-dawn promise, this is gonna be the place to be if you’re out after 2 (though if you want to see the bands you should get there closer to midnight). Sunday, if you’re not headed to see the Pretenders at Stubbs, definitely make your way to the Mohawk for Brightblack Morning Light. This psychedelic folk duo makes some gorgeously mellow sounds that will be the perfect end to your weekend, and it’s an early show on the outside stage, so you can’t even complain that it’s a work night. No, really, we can’t recommend these guys enough.
