If you look at Jon Asher’s MySpace page, you might first think that maybe you saw this kid hanging out at the food court in your local shopping mall. He may look young, but the guy can really belt out some great tunes. Hailing from Arizona, Jon has taken complete control of his music by writing, composing, and producing all of his tracks. The first time I heard him, I was thinking that this must be some new Gavin Rossdale project; however, the ethereal electronics make it clear that it is not. Come to find out, he has in fact been compared to Gavin along with the likes of Depeche Mode, and the earlier works of Dirty Vegas. The good thing is that MTV is giving him a lot of support by playing his music during several shows on the network. Today’s catch is “The Noise Inside My Head”, which I absolutely love. Enjoy!
