Today I bring you the sultry voice of Shirley Manson (whom I have the biggest crush on) and the boys from Garbage. This past week a new compilation CD was released just in time for the Beijing Olympics, entitled Songs for Tibet – The Art of Peace. This double album features new and old (but re-worked) tunes from 20 of the biggest artists in the world; including Sting, Dave Mathews, Imogen Heap, Underworld, Moby, and of course Garbage. The Garbage track happens to be brand new, and in my opinion ranks as one of their finest from their entire catalogue. Today’s catch is “All the Good in This Life”, which contains an almost country-twang sound, and is very different from the typical Garbage that you’re use to hearing. According to The Art of Peace website, “All funds raised from this album will go to support initiatives and Tibetan cultural preservation projects important to the Dali Lama”. You can also check out my girl Shirley this Fall where she will be making her acting debut on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Enjoy!
